Jon Dana Weinert, a loving father and resident of Grawn, MI, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020, while at his home. Jon was born on February 5, 1954 in Detroit, MI to parents Edward Anthony Weinert and Phyllis Claire (Anderson). The middle child, he was raised in Farmington Hills where he graduated from North Farmington High School in 1972. Shortly after, Jon moved to the Grand Traverse Area where he would spend the remainder of his life.

Jon appreciated the beauty of Northern Michigan. He enjoyed the changing of the seasons and loved the treasures of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisher and boater. He spent his career working as a Master Electrician and builder where his craftsmanship and strong work ethic shined. After retiring, he continued to stay busy by managing his rental properties and performing small handyman projects. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Renee Santerre and her husband Travon of Charleston, SC, his granddaughter Genica Luers, his 2 step grandsons Xavier and Zander, his brother Richard Weinert of Ocala, FL, his brother Robert Weinert of Farmington Hills, MI, and his sweet dog Roxy. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Jon and his family are being cared for by Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home and cremation services. Due to Covid, there is no service at this time.
