Joseph Robert Price died peacefully in his Traverse City home on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born in Glendale, California, in 1931.

Many of his years were lived in Florida where he graduated from Florida Southern College and later earned a masters and doctorate at the University of Florida. He was a psychologist and worked in a variety of settings in several states, mainly in counseling and administrative positions.

Survivors include his wife and best friend, Cathy; two sons, Jody and Mike; his daughter, Holly; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren along with a brother Henry (Bobbie) Price. Two grandchildren predeceased him, Luke and Adam Price.

Joe enjoyed honest people, art, travel and almost anything that would get him on the water.

It was his wish that rather than flowers, donations may be made to National Public Radio in Interlochen which provided him with many hours of interest during his Michigan days.
