Joyce Ann Gray, 83, of Traverse City, passed away at home on May 8, 2018 with her family by her side.
She was born August 11, 1934 to the late George and Eloise (Webster) Crow in Flint.
Joyce graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in teaching. Eventually, she chose to continue her education and went back to school at Central Michigan University obtaining her Masters Degree as a Librarian.
Joyce was and avid reader enjoying mysteries and flipping thru cookbooks to find her next best recipe. She loved to participate in weekend trips with the family and fond memories were created. In her free time she enjoyed to crochet and knit. She can best be described as a compassionate, loving, nurturing mother, wife and friend.
Joyce is survived by her son Stephen (Penny Starkey) Finch, stepchildren Jeff Gray and Sherri Parker, grandchildren; Brittnay (Nathan) Duell, Andrew (Jamie) Finch and Rachelle Partee, as well as great grandchildren; Alex Finch and Liam Duell.
She is preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth Finch, her second husband Thomas Gray and her daughter Michele Lee Finch.
A memorial service will take place Sunday May 20, 2018 at the 3:00pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation for friends and family one hour prior.
