Joyce Ovina Mack, 84, of Traverse City passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Munson Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born Friday, April 22, 1932 to William and Ovina (Pedersen) Mortensen in Camp Douglas, WI. On January 11, 1952, she married John W. Mack and worked in the family business her entire career.
She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother. Joyce was able to easily manage the family business while John was on the road, as well as take care of her family. She had a great work ethic that she attributed to her Danish heritage. She enjoyed to bowl and golf, carrying her passion for the games well into her late seventies.
Joyce is survived by her husband John 'Jack'; sons John (Linda) Mack III, Mike Mack, Robert Mack, Patrick Mack; brother Jack Mortensen; numerous grand children, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ovina (Pedersen) Mortensen; son Don Tollefson; sisters Jean Stickney, JoAnne Kramer and Alva Douglas; brother Alvin Mortensen.
Per Joyce's wish, private family services will be held at a later date.
