Joyce Ann Schreiber, 84, of Traverse City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Munson Hospice House.

Joyce was born on August 13, 1938 in Detroit, MI to the late Raymond and Mildred (Clark) Miller. She married the late Henry C. Schreiber on October 13, 1978 in Rochester, MI.

Joyce was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord, her family, church and community. An active member for many years at First Congregational Church, she volunteered at the 8:30 coffee hour, funeral receptions, Dickens Bizarre, Giving Tree and Paper Angels among many other activities. She was a volunteer with Doula, Kids Hope, My Brothers Keeper, Community Meals and Lunchbox Buddies. Her hobbies and interests included gardening, painting and baking the most delicious pies and cookies.

Her kind, supportive and gentle soul will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Joyce is survived by her children, Scott (Elizabeth) Allan of Charlevoix, Tracy Allan of Dallas, step-children Sharon Lavoie, Henry (Mary Lou Schemanski) Schreiber, grandchildren Marsanne, Robert, Mackenzie, Matthew, great grandson Riley, niece Kimberly (Lyndon) Blauwkamp, nephews Kirk Culver and Keith Culver, and many other loving family members, friends and her beloved dog, Maizie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, son-in-law Daniel Hicks, and sister Janet E. Vetor.

A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the First Congregational Church with a visitation beginning at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to: The Father Fred Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
