Joyce Kathryn Weiselberg, 86, of Traverse City, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Chrystal Springs Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Joyce was born September 26, 1929 in Dearborn, MI to the late William and Valda (Kuhn) Stephenson. She moved to Buckley as a child and lived on a farm, graduating from Buckley High School in 1947. She worked for Northwestern Michigan College for over 20 years, retiring from the Records and Registration Department.

Joyce married LeRoy Weiselberg on August 7, 1954 in Traverse City at the Bayview Wesleyan Church.

Joyce was a delightful, people loving woman, who never met a stranger. Her sweet countenance was always accompanied by her beautiful smile. She loved playing the piano and was church pianist for several years.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Leroy, whom she adored; daughters Valeria (Greg) Buick of Caledonia, and Vicki (Richard) Hart of Grand Blanc; grandchildren Peiter and wife Dayle, Stephanie, Ashlee, Noah, and Sophia and her great Grand children; Gabriella, Aine and Aurelia.

She was preceded in death by her father William Stephenson; mother Valda Stephenson; sisters Betty Hulbert and Dorothy Parker.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Bayview Wesleyan Church, 720 Wayne Street, Traverse City, MI 49684, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Vera Pascoe will officiate services.

The family requests that memorial donations in Joyce's name be made to the Bayview Wesleyan Church.
