June Loraine Barth

TRAVERSE CITY – June Loraine Barth 85, of Traverse City, passed away on Feb. 1, 2016. June was born on June 25, 1930 in Traverse City to her parents the late Kenneth and Jeanette (Anderson) Wilson.
She earned a B.S. Degree from Central MI University and a Masters Degree from Grand Valley State University.
June married the late Edward D. Barth on September 26 1953 at St. Mary's Church in Muskegon, MI where she raised 7 children. June was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and sung in various choirs through the years. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed making clothes and quilts that she donated to charities.
June is survived by six of her children; Mary J. Forguson of Dallas, TX, Leslie E. Barth of Traverse City, MI, Margaret A. (Michael) Galliher of Castle Rock, CO, David G. Barth of Traverse City, MI, Susan C. (Jeffrey) Lippert of Grand Rapids, MI, and Andrew K. (Daisy) Barth of Mio, MI. She was also survived by her brother Gordon (Frieda) Wilson of Bear Lake, MI as well as 13 Grandchildren; Shannon (Paul), Christopher, Daniel, Amaleah, Maxwell, Ashley (Brandon), Nathan, Catherine, Thomas, Jordan, Andrew, Lily and Phillip and Great Grandson Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward D. Barth; sons, Daniel E. Barth and Louie Joseph (still born); brothers, Glen M. Wilson, Russell F. Wilson and Dale M. Wilson.
A visitation will be held for family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m., with a visitation held one hour prior.
