TRAVERSE CITY — Karen Louise O'Neil, 63, of Traverse City passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at Munson Medical Center surrounded by her daughters.Karen was born April 21, 1948, in Muskegon, the eldest child of Roy and Loretta (Giroux) Schultz. She married Michael O'Neil on Aug. 17, 1968, in Muskegon. They were married for 39 years.Karen was a homemaker and stay-at-home mother for most of her married life. After raising her children, she enjoyed working many part-time jobs that put her in touch with the public while leaving her time to spend with her children and grandchildren. Karen also enjoyed crafts, sewing, and home improvement projects for herself and others.Karen is survived by three daughters, Jennifer (Larry Tilford) O'Neil of Muskegon, Holly Bezotte of Traverse City, and Michelle (Brian) Beach of Traverse City; six grandchildren, Andy, Adam, Alexis and Alysa Bezotte, and Hunter and M'Lynn Beach; her mother; siblings, Ron (Debbie) Schultz, Gary Schultz, Judy Kujawa and Debbie Schultz; many brothers-in law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; and her father.A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service.
