Karen Dianne (Hansen) Walters, 66, departed the earth with her independence and dignity intact on Sunday November 29, 2020 at home.
A proud graduate of Central High School and later attending Hillsdale College, Karen always considered education and friendships important.
Karen enjoyed her work at Barlow Superette, Global Marine and Haggerty Insurance. All of these places encouraged her to find lifetime friends, and the place she connected with the lifelong friends was at the lanes. Both she and her husband Dave were avid bowlers and participated on many leagues. Highlighted by the chance to enjoy the dancing and maybe a few libations, for a number of years Timber Lanes was the place to be for this adventurous couple.
The best part of life for Karen was spending time with her family. Traveling to see the kids and grandkids, or jumping in the co-pilot seat with Dave as they traveled to places near and far.
Karen is survived by her parents Art and Joan Hansen, her beloved husband, her son and daughter-in-law David Jr and Tina, her grandsons David III and Michael, brother Art III, niece Alexis Hansen, as well as many aunts, uncles' cousins and friends.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers you consider an act of kindness in Karen's honor to the Humane Society or the Hospice program of your choice.
