Katherine "Kay" Margaret (Harmon) Zivkovich, age 78, of Williamsburg, MI (formerly of Sterling Heights, MI) passed away at her home on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Kay was born on February 8, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Charles and Alice Harmon.

Kay graduated from Willoughby North H.S. in 1961 and received a double major in Elementary Education and Spanish at Bowling Green State University in 1965. She taught Spanish in Galion, OH from 1965-1966 and received her Master's in Educational Leadership from Wayne State in 1968. Kay married Jim Zivkovich in June of 1966 and taught school with him in Utica, MI while living in Sterling Heights, MI. There they raised two sons Jim and Mark.

She was a long-time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Warren, MI where she was the President of the Women's Fellowship. After living in Sterling Heights for 41 years, Kay and Jim moved to Williamsburg, MI in 2014 to be closer to family. Kay and Jim joined Central United Methodist Church in Traverse City where they developed a close group of friends.

Kay was a very thoughtful and giving person to all she met. She never missed a birthday or an important phone call to connect.

Her grandchildren lit up her life, her sons were her pride and joy, her husband was her rock, and her friends meant the world to her. Kay enjoyed playing cards and being involved in several community organizations. She will be missed and remembered by so many who knew her.

Kay is survived by her loving husband Jim of fifty-six years; sons Jim (Heather) and Mark (Rose), and grandchildren Morgan, Maxwell, Maya, Nicholas, and Joseph.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the caring staff of Hospice of Michigan and her dear neighbors and friends for their care and compassion for Kay in her final days.

Friends are welcome to visit with Kay's family on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Central United Methodist Church in Traverse City, MI where a visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Shoregate Methodist Church in Willowick, OH where a visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a service at 9:45 a.m.
