Kathleen M. Dewar

Kathleen Mary Dewar, 74, entered eternal life August 29, 2022.
Kathleen was born to the late Robert and Marie (Allen) Sweeney in Detroit, MI on January 21, 1948.
Kathleen was many things to many people. A loving wife, mother and grandmother. A care taker as a Registered Nurse, a social butterfly, avid fisher-woman, and enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre. She loved organizing many euchre tournaments around the area.
She thoroughly enjoyed traveling with the family, and spent many winters RVing with her husband in Florida and Mississippi.
Kathleen enjoyed providing a hearty meal to her family on most occasions typically consisting of meat and potatoes. She was an avid baker and her blueberry cobbler was out of this world.
She is survived and missed by her loving husband Edward Dewar, brother Bill Sweeney, children Lori (Steve) Montero from Torch River, MI. and Scot (Julie) Dewar from Cassell, MI. 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both parents, 2 sisters, Sr Marie Sweeney, IHM, Sr Margaret Sweeney, IHM and her brother, Robert Emmet Sweeney II.
Visitation will take place on Friday September 2, 2022 from 5-7pm at St. Mary Of the Woods Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday September 3, 2022 at 11:00am with visitation from 10am until the beginning of mass at St. Mary Of the Woods Catholic Church.
Kathleen and her family are being cared for by the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
