Kathy passed away on July 5 while visiting her beloved daughter and family. Born in Chicago, she spent most of her adult life in the Columbus area before retiring and moving to her treasured Leelanau County home with her husband.
She was always known as a giving person, spending over thirty years as a registered nurse. She immensely enjoyed spending time with her family, hiking, gardening, reading, and just being outdoors.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary. She is survived by husband John, son Joshua, daughter Heather, grandchildren Arden and Porter, six siblings and many loving relatives.
Donations honoring the memory of Kathy may be made to the Leelanau Conservancy, the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Memorials may be directed to Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
