Kathleen Sue Lockhart, 71, of Traverse City, passed away December 22, 2021.
Kathleen was born August 25, 1950, in Detroit, the eldest of three children, to parents Robert and Helen Keitchen.
She married her high school sweetheart, Scott Lockhart, in Lansing. The couple welcomed their son, James into the world soon thereafter. The family would go on to live in the Lansing, Traverse City and Ann Arbor areas, before settling in Traverse City in 1988.
Kathleen was always a kind and soft-spoken person. As a devout Christian, she was a member at New Hope Community Church. Kathleen was a talented interior decorator. She was able to show-off her skills downtown Traverse City, with her beautiful window displays.
After spending several years in retail, Kathleen began working in the cafeteria at Munson. Being that she had a servant's heart, she found her position as a server in the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center to be the most rewarding work she performed in her lifetime.
Throughout all of the challenges and trails Kathleen faced in life, she rose to the occasion with courage and immense strength. She is already missed.
Kathleen leaves behind her son James (Cheryl) Lockhart; brothers Michael (Patricia) Keitchen and Todd (LouAnn) Keitchen and niece and nephews Casey (Chi), Kaylee and Cody.
She joins her mom and dad in heaven and her husband, Scott.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to New Hope Community Church in Kathleen's honor.
