Katie Ann Fouch, 29, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2020 after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Katie was born on August 20, 1991 in Traverse City, Michigan to Timothy and Karen (Cavitch-Murphy) Fouch. Katie graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 2009. She later attended Northwestern Michigan College, then went onto earn a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Ferris State University. She had been employed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. In her spare time, Katie enjoyed going to the beach, listening to music and spending time with her family, friends and pets. She will always be remembered for her fun-loving personality and her great sense of humor. Katie had a wonderful way about her, she could always light up a room with her energy and beautiful smile. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Katie is survived by her loving parents; Tim and Karen Fouch, a brother, Jeffrey (Johanna Mauk) Fouch, and her boyfriend of 10 years, Nick Killian. Also surviving are a grandpa, Leon Fouch, her beloved nephew, Henry Fouch and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. As well as her dog, Beecher and cat, Hobbes.

She was preceded in death by grandparents; Eleanor Fouch, Patricia (Richard) Hoyt and Jerry Cavitch. Also, aunts, uncles and her cat, Trouble.

Friends are welcome to visit with Katie's family from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020, with a 3:00 p.m. Sharing Time, in the Garden of the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. To honor Katie's wishes, we encourage those attending to wear bright colored clothing.

A beachside Celebration of Katie's life will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Westend Beach and Volleyball area on West Grand Traverse Bay.
