Keegan Wyatt Beyer, 26, of Traverse City passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 in Grand Rapids following a long, determined fight against leukemia.
Keegan was born on Thursday, December 8, 1988 to Dennis and Patricia (Core) Beyer in Traverse City. He attended Traverse City Schools and graduated from Traverse City West Senior High School in 2007. Keegan then earned his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Michigan Tech in 2012.
Keegan had a big smile and a quick wit. He was always attempting to figure out better ways to do things and share his ideas with others. He loved science, astronomy, history and debating politics and sports strategies. He followed the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings and many college sports teams.
Keegan enjoyed all aspects of music including listening, singing and playing baritone in the TC West band. He was intrigued with technology and constantly researched the attributes of each and every new gadget available.
Keegan attended West Bay Covenant Church throughout his life and developed close bonds with many people there.
Keegan is survived by his parents, Dennis and Pat Beyer; his sister, Kelsey of Cincinnati, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his dogs, Cooper and Tucker.
Visitation for Keegan will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday, July 8 at West Bay Covenant Church with the memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Pastor Kent Anderson will officiate.
