Traverse City - Keegan Gabrielle Tarrant, 19, of Traverse City went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 18, 2015.
Keegan was born on May 31, 1995 in Traverse City to Glenn and Ellyn (Heimforth) Tarrant.
Keegan graduated from St. Francis High School in 2013. She had a passion for helping others. Keegan traveled to Kasisi Children's Home, a Catholic orphanage in Zambia, Africa, three times for mission work. She also spent time serving others in Jamaica and Colorado. After graduation, she began attending school at the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota, majoring in Pre-Med. Her goal was to use her medical degree to open clinics in developing countries.
Keegan loved to fill her life with excitement. In her free time, Keegan enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially her life-long friend Maddy Danz. Keegan loved to go to the movies, spend time at the family cottage, and even completed a year-long endeavor to jump in the bay once a month. She liked to eat sushi and bake with her friends and family. Keegan also loved reading to her siblings, and while she was at college would continue to read to them over Skype.
Keegan had a creative spirit and was always making meaningful handmade gifts for her family and friends. Her latest creation was a canvas with Scrabble tiles connecting all the names in the family with the title: Together We are Happy and Complete. Keegan was adored by all who came in contact with her. Her joy and sense of humor were infectious. She will be forever in our hearts.
Keegan is survived by her parents Glenn and Ellyn Tarrant; 13 siblings Corbin, Kendall (Corey), Austin, Galen, Chandler, Sayler, Zealand, Zennor, Zavier, Seville, Savian, Havyn and Braylan; Aunts and Uncles Eric (Angie) Heimforth, Holly (Jim) Griesen, Ann (Kevin) Elsenheimer, Cindy Pascoe, Greg (Linda) Tarrant, Jill Tarrant, and paternal grandparents Jerry and Janet Tarrant.
