Kenneth James Draper, 42, of Mesick passed away August 8, 2021 at Munson Medical Center.
Ken was born on October 11, 1978 in Flint to Kenneth James McGee (Melissa) and the late Pamela Jo (Fellows) Draper.
Ken is survived by his best friend and fiancé of 9 years, Katrina Jaquish; children Dakota Wieczorek, Michael Draper, Derrick Draper, Bethany Draper, Dominic Jaquish, Isaac Jaquish, Kallie Jaquish and Owen Morgan; grandson Colton Wieczorek; siblings Mark Draper, Midge Nixon, Matthew Draper, Ralynn (James) Sims, Darryll (April) Bailey, Sandra Bailey, Amelda (Chris) Garcia, David (Betty) Stanley, Billy Stanley and Sarha (Ken's best friend Ken) Burk, Tammy (Ben) Avery; brother-in-law Francis Kuhlman; sister-in-law Courtney (Bud) Boyer; nieces and nephews Katelyn, John, Ethan, Natalie, Lance, Rianna, Nate, Zach, Little Man, Christina, Elizabeth, James, Amber, Matthew, Autumn, Jordan, Carter, Parker, Arianna, Abigail, Dylan, Brayden, Owen, Landen, Trystan, Jaxton, Adrianna, Austin, Bailee, Cameron, Madison, Emma and David; and great-nieces and nephews Ella, Bentley and Rowen.
Ken was a facility manager at the Stock yard station in Fort Worth, Texas. He also was a manager at Pennzoil in Flint and worked for Cadillac Garage Doors.
Ken's life was fueled by his love of racing. His pride and joy was the 1985 Monte Carlo-SS. He loved drag racing, working on cars and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed golfing, mini golf, camping, fishing, tubing and boating. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family. He would do anything for them, no matter how big or small. He had the biggest heart and was so full of life. He loved everyone and genuinely loved to make others happy. He will be remembered for his crazy sense of humor, silliness, and love for all.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, from 5 – 8 pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. The funeral will be held outside in the Garden at Reynolds Jonkhoff on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11 am, with visitation beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow at the Sherman Cemetery in Tustin.
