Kenneth Larcom

Kenneth Larcom , 84, of Interlochen passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Munson Medical Center. Ken was born on March 11, 1929 in Cadillac, Michigan to the late Ted and Kaye (Giddings) Larcom. He was married to Joyce Watson on August 2, 1947 in Michigan Center, MI. Ken was a design engineer, employed by Douglas Lockheed, Gourdie Fraser and later owned KBL Design. Flying was his passion; Ken was working on his pilot license.

Ken was past president of Traverse City Motor Cycle Club, Traverse City Regional Conservation, member of Grand Traverse Archery and Traverse Trail Travelers. He was an amateur ham radio operator, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and traveling.

Ken is survived by his wife, Joyce Larcom; daughters, Chris (Gary) Wilson of Traverse City; Angie Larcom of Lakeland, FL; grandson, Jonathan (Kayla) Wilson; granddaughter, Dr. Ashley (Scott) Sachtleben; brothers, Bob (Katherine) Larcom, Dean (Janet) Rickard of Idaho; sister-in-law, Elsie Larcom. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Everett Larcom.

Friends are welcome to visit with Ken's family on Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
