It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Kent Andrew Rozycki, surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 27, 2026. Kent was born on June 1, 1952, in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan to Anthony and Shirley (Willetts) Rozycki.

Kent attended Grosse Pointe North High School and went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree in arts from Michigan State University. After passing the CPA exam, he worked for many years for public accounting firms. Kent had an opportunity to attend Cooley Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate and graduated with honors in 1982.

Kent met the love of his life, Sally Ann Dutts and they were married on November 12, 1976.

An avid sports fan, in his free time Kent enjoyed playing golf with his sons and colleagues and enjoyed watching Michigan State Spartan football and basketball every year. He was a voracious reader, often reading several books a week most of his life, and he loved everything to do with cars, from driving them to reading about them in automotive magazines.

Kent is survived by his loving wife, Sally, of 50 years, his children Andrew (Maria) Rozycki, Ryan Rozycki, and Michael (Kate) Rozycki, and grandchildren Owen and Lillian. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Lynn (Jim) Loukmas, Paula (Paul) Shakotko, Mary (Kerry) Shier, Mark (Mary) Rozycki, and AJ (Linda) Rozycki. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Anthony and Shirley Rozycki and his brother, Dean Rozycki.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caring staff of Medilodge of Traverse City for their outstanding care and compassion during Kent's final weeks, ensuring he was well-cared for.

Friends are welcome to visit with Kent's family from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Kent will take place at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 308 N. Cedar St., Traverse City, Michigan 49684. Rev. Anthony Citro will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials honoring Kent may be made to the Fr. Fred Foundation, 826 Hastings St., Traverse City, Michigan 49686.
