Kevan S. Maguire Sr.
WILLIAMSBURG – Kevan Scott Maguire Sr. age 56, of Williamsburg, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at home in the loving care of his family.
Kevan was born on March 20, 1962 to Delbert Maguire and Clara Craig in Detroit, MI. Kevan grew up in the Fife Lake area and graduated from Traverse City Central School.
Following graduation Kevan went to work as a painter, and shortly after he became a supervisor for United Tech. After his time with United Tech, Kevan decided to take his passion for painting by starting his own business, Maguire Painting. Kevan took an immense amount of pride in his work, where he relied solely on word of mouth for his skill and expertise. It wasn't uncommon for Kevan to build long lasting relationships with those he worked for. Kevan enjoyed nature, anytime he could spend time outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or anything outdoors, he was in his element. Kevan also enjoyed spending time with his family, and his great-contagious laugh will be forever missed by all who knew him.
Kevan is survived by his significant other, Mary Anderson, mothers; Clara Craig and Lucy Downey, children; Kevan Jr., Brooke, Brittney, grandchildren; Landon, Molly, Sophia, Emma, brothers; Al, Jeff, Ross, and sister, Pearl. Kevan was preceded in death by his father Delbert, and his step-father Jim Craig.
A celebration of Kevan's life will take place at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the East Bay Calvary Church, with a visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
