TRAVERSE CITY — Kevin Roger Bloomfield, 51, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
Kevin was born on April 23, 1961, in Owosso, to the late Roger and Rose (Hints) Bloomfield. He married Sherri Wilkins on Feb. 23, 2011, in Sault Ste. Marie.
Kevin was an avid outdoors man. He was a great hunter, and he hunted for anything, to name a few, bear, deer, raccoon, pheasant and the famous snipe. He enjoyed fishing, especially in Canada.
Kevin was an awesome cook. He especially liked to grill and was famous for his tender ribs.
Family was very important to Kevin. He loved family bonfires, mushroom hunting and camping. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Kevin are his wife, Sherri; daughters, Raye Bloomfield and Erin Bloomfield; stepchildren, Emily Jones, Alyssa Jones, Rachel Jones and Aaron Bumbacco; along with his beloved dog, Rosie; siblings, Rhonda (Bruce) Milemon, Greg Bloomfield and Lynn Bloomfield; and many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation for Kevin will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., with a funeral service held at 4 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Thursday, June, 28, 2012. Pastor Justin Grimm will serve as celebrant.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Center Treatments of America, Munson Hospice or U of M Cancer Center.
