Kevin Michael Ericson

Kevin Michael Ericson, 64, of Maple City, passed away at home on January 23, 2023.

Kevin was born on April 29, 1958 in Galesburg, IL to the late Kent David and Joann (Oloman) Baatz.

Kevin enjoyed traveling and living in various areas during his life. In 1995 he settled in Leelanau County to help take care of his step-dad. He worked at Sugar Loaf for many years as a handyman. He also worked many odd jobs, including roofing and siding prior to his retirement.

In his younger years he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and being outside. He loved his family, friends and many dogs he had throughout his life. Kevin will be deeply missed by all those whom knew and loved him.

Kevin is survived by his mom Joann Baatz, his siblings Robin Walters, Tamara Dee (Jack) Beverlin, Eddy (Hea) Mower, his Life Partner Michelle Casselman, his step-daughters Renee and April and his wife Kathy Ericson, steps siblings Rod (Pam) Baatz Jr., Ricky Baatz, Randy Baatz, Michael Baatz, Patricia Baatz, and many other loving family members and friends.

Kevin is preceded in death by his dad Kent, his brother Chris Buaghman and step-sister Catherine Dearborn.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a visitation beginning at 9:30. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cherryland Humane Society. Kindly share thoughts and memories with his family at www.reynolds-jonkhoff.com .
