Kevin A. McCormick, 68, of Williamsburg passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2023 at Munson Medical Center with his family by his side.

Kevin was born on December 21, 1954 in Detroit to the late Gerald and Helen (Baldick) McCormick.

Kevin's greatest joys were cars and all the people he met along his life journey. Kevin was the beloved used car sales manager at Grand Traverse Auto for as long as anyone can remember, and loved every minute of his job. If he wasn't at work he was at a classic cars show spinning very tall tales with his dear friends and, of course, making new friends! He was one of the founders of the TC Customs and Classics car club and was also a proud member of the "underground" car club affectionately known as the Rebel Rodders.

Kevin was a man who became fast friends with nearly everyone he met. He truly had a Heart of Gold. He adored his grandchildren and became "Papa Spice" to them and all of their friends in Elk Rapids. He was famous for his story telling and very silly jokes, and each time he told stories they got better and better. He will be remembered for his big heart, his frequent stops in to the Bunker Hill Party store for a pop and a lotto ticket, but most importantly his love for all. No one ever said a bad word about him. He will be so missed.

Kevin is survived by his wife Cindy McCormick; daughter Erin Kaltenbach; granddaughter Rylie; grandson Ryker; step son Corey Moura; step daughter Melissa Eman; brother Gerald (Karen) McCormick and sister Patricia (Don) Baese.

He will be laid to rest at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens on 12 noon on Thursday April 27, 2023. A celebration of his life will follow at the Grand Traverse Event Center from 2 to 7 pm.
