Obituary

Kim Ann Brennan, 62, of Traverse City passed away at Munson Medical Center on Monday July 5, 2021 after a short battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side.

Kim was born on September 7, 1958 in Oceanside, CA to Thomas and Barbara (Smith) Woods. She married the love of her life John Thomas Brennan on August 6, 1983 in Saginaw, Mi. Moving to Traverse City, MI in 1989 where they raised two wonderful children together.
Kim worked as an administrative assistant for many years in the banking and lumber industries. After retiring last year she and John sold their home and took an adventure in their RV throughout the Country.
In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping and spending time with her family. She made many beautiful quilts and gifted them to special people in her life.
Kim will be remembered for her beautiful quilts, her wonderful smile, sense of humor and the love she had for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Kim is her husband John of Traverse City, son John (Kimberly) Brennan of Seattle, WA, daughter Katey (Mike) Sampson of Grand Junction, MI, her mother Barbara Woods, her siblings, Thomas (Lucy) Woods, David (Deb) Woods , sister-in-law Suzanne Halsted, brother-in-law William Brennan, her beloved dog Guiness, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kim is preceded in death by her father Thomas Woods.
A celebration of life in honor of Kim will take place on August 7, 2021 from 2 to 6pm at Timber Ridge Resort Banquet Hall in Traverse City, MI. Memorial contributions may be directed to our local Cowell Family Cancer Center, 217 S. Madison St. Traverse City, MI 49684.
