Larry G. Beutler, 75, of Traverse City, Michigan, died after a lengthy illness on September 8, 2026. He was born in the Houghton Lake Heights, Michigan on April 23, 1951 to Betty and Ernest Beutler.

After living in Texas for Larry’s first two years, the family moved to Roscommon, Michigan where Larry attended school, graduating from Gerrish Higgins High School (Roscommon) in 1969.

Larry worked at several jobs during his life, including a time working on the railroad near Jackson, Michigan, then working for Wickes Lumber in Traverse City for many years. His last job was delivering papers for the Traverse City Record Eagle.

Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Betty Beutler, brothers Terry, Dale, and James. He is survived by his sisters Kay Lurie (David), Jane Boursaw (Terry), sister-in-law Sue Beutler, and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service is being held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 11, 2026 at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Donations in Larry’s memory to Cherryland Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
