Traverse City-Larry Kurina, 67, a self-employed auto mechanic of Maple City, died Tuesday morning, July 16, 2013, at Bortz Health Care, following a lingering illness.
Born February 12, 1946, in Detroit, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Miller) Kurina.
Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He had a great sense of humor and often referred to himself as "The Funny Man". Larry will be truly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Marie (Flees) Kurina of Maple City; children, Jacqueline (Eric) Francis, Jerry Kurina, Angie (Jon) Wickham and Jeffery Kurina; mother, Mary Melvina Kurina; grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa, Sidney, Kayla, Hannah and Oliva.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kurina
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Kurina Home on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Cremation has taken place.
