Larry Eugene Miller, 86, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home.
Larry was born on January 22, 1932 in Jasper Township in Midland County to the late Roland Eugene and Hazel Gertrude (Hetzman) Miller.
Larry served our country honorably as a member of the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1952.
He married the love of his life, Alice Miller on February 5, 1953 in Angola, Indiana. Larry was a devoted member of St. Francis Catholic Church. He was a machinist. In his spare time he loved to go out in his boat and fish. He also liked to play golf, ride his bike with his grandkids and bowl. He and his wife also liked to collect and deal antiques. They were good travelers and loved to visit Florida and Arizona. Larry loved his beloved toy poodles and they were always near him. He will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his four sons and two daughters; Randy (Ellen) Miller, Jackie (Allen) Muma, Lisa Colpean, Blake (Wendy) Miller, Jeff (Lynn) Miller and Eric (Diana) Miller, six grandchildren; Brandon, Jeramine, Amy, Zack, Alexis and Hope, several great-grandchildren; siblings Max (Barb) Miller, Doris (Mike) Michaelson, Elaine Lamb and Gala (Lurel) Waters.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice, an infant son, Scott Miller and his sister Marilyn.
Friends are welcome to visit with Larry's family on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Michigan, 49684.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with visiting one hour prior, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1025 S. Union Street, Traverse City, Michigan, 49684. A private family burial will take place in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Breckenridge, Michigan.
