Traverse City-Lawrence Elvin Stephenson "Larry Jr.", 58, of Traverse City passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 15, 2018. He was born on April 15, 1959 to Larry and Bev Stephenson.
Larry graduated from T.C. Central in 1977. He took over the family business, Larry's Pool and Spa, along with his brother Don, 20 years ago.
He lived life to the fullest, always at High Speed! Known for his loud voice, his infectious laughter and favorite saying "Bless Your Heart." He loved nothing more than playing his guitar, and always hoped to get the old band (Rush) Steve, Jake and Dave, together again for a jam session. Larry loved his toys, his "highwater" Jeep, his "Sweet" Harley, "Cool" Dingy boat and his new Kubota Tractor.
Larry leaves behind his son, Stetson, granddaughters, Kirstin and Brooklyn, his partner, Shelly, beloved dog, "Wheeler", father, Larry (Sharon) Stephenson, brother, Don (Sheryl) Stephenson, sisters; Teresa (Dale) Campbell and Annette (Brad) Kiel, nephew, Victor (Cocoa) Stephenson, nieces; Nicole Stephenson, Ashley (Paul) Mahn and Jessica (Jeff) Novack.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly and son, Justin Stephenson.
Per Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of Larry's life this summer, "his favorite time of year."
