Traverse City - Laurel Ann Hall, 49, of Traverse City and formerly of Troy, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Laurel was born on Friday, May 1, 1964, to Earl and Mary Ann (Zimmerman) Schleicher in Detroit, MI. She married David Edward Hall on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at Fellowship Church in Traverse City.

A marketing consultant for DTE, Laurel had been a resident of Traverse City for more than 30 years. Laurel was a member of the Fellowship Church. She also enjoyed working on various craft projects and quilting.

Laurel lived life to the fullest and will be fondly remembered for her kindness and giving ways. Her philosophy in life continued on in death, as she made arrangements years ago to donate herself to the Gift of Life, knowing that her spirit will live on through others.

Laurel is survived by her husband David; by a son, Karlton Young and a daughter, Kalynn Young, both of Traverse City; and her mother, Mary Ann Schleicher of Traverse City along with her step son David Hall, Jr. of Kalkaska. She was preceded in death by her father on Sept. 25, 1999 and by her brother Scott on Sept. 21, 2006.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2013, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home Private Graveside services will be held at Grand Traverse Memorial. Gardens.

Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 27, 2013 at the Fellowship Church, with Rev. Jon Flikkema officiating. A luncheon will follow.

Memorial contributions in Laurel's name may be directed to Cherryland Humane Society. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home or church.
