Lena E Wing

Lena Elsie Wing, 90 of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 01, 2012 at Bortz Health Care.

Lena was born on December 10, 1921 in Pigeon, MI to the late Earl and Rose (Steinman) Stirrett. She married the late Vern Floyd Wing on April 18, 1938 in Goshen, Indiana.

Lena attended Bayview Wesleyan Church and Bible Baptist Church for many years and taught Sunday Schools and Bible Schools. She enjoyed traveling, camping and boating. She loved being a good homemaker, which included gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She was a wonderful mother and will be missed by her family.

Surviving Lena are her children, Donna (Gary) Flees, Gary (Helen) Wing, and Roger (Cheryl) Wing, grandchildren, Aaron (Alicia) Flees and Matthew McDaniel.

Lena is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Sharon Kay, husband Vern, daughter Lois McDaniel, brothers, Clifford, Lee and Allen.

Visitation will be held for Lena from 4-6pm at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, July 6, with a visitation held one hour prior also at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Acme Township Cemetery.
