GRAND BLANC — Leo B. Lindsay, 90, of Grand Blanc, formerly of Traverse City's Old Mission Peninsula, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Prestige Point in Grand Blanc.Leo was born Friday, Jan. 7, 1921, to the late Raleigh and Mary (Waller) Lindsay in Lafe, Ark. He married Shirley Lorraine Belanger on March 5, 1943, in Flint. She preceded him in death on April 17, 1979.Having lived in Flint until 1976, Leo and Shirley moved to Traverse City. He had been employed by A. C. Spark Plug. He was a member of the Masonic Temple in Flint; the Power Squadron; and the United Treasure Hunters Club. Leo also served our country as a member of the U.S. Navy.Leo is survived by his daughters, Bethany Lindsay, of Traverse City, Cathy Fritz and Judith Lindsay, of Davison; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug, 5, at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.The family suggests that memorial contributions in Leo's name be directed to the ARC, Grand Traverse County, P.O.
