Obituary

Leslie "Les" E. Anderson, 90, of Grawn, passed away September 14, 2022 at home.
Leslie was born in Three Rivers, MI to the late Elmer and Mildred (Romig) on May 7, 1932.
After graduating high school Leslie honorably served the country in the US Airforce. He was humbled by his experiences and also honored to serve.
In 1963 he met his beloved bride Barbara Quan and they married on February 22, 1964. Together they shared many wonderful adventures including but certainly not limited to the prize-winning pumpkins and tomatoes in Leslie's Garden, the fishing adventures while camping to Drummond Island or the U.P. of Michigan, and bowling where they bowled on singles and as a couple on a team. At the young age of 86, Leslie achieved a 300 game and was recognized with a pin. Leslie was thrilled to happen across a casino and spent countless hours with the continued care of his 1998 truck that is in immaculate condition.
Leslie was the jack of all trades and friend to many. He was kind and generous with his time and his heart. If you knew him, you liked him. Prior to retirement, Leslie worked in the service division for Northern Fire and Safety. He did light traveling from Petoskey to Northport and all along the way started with a client and ended with a friend. Notably some of his jobs took longer than anticipated cause there was conversation catch-up to be had.
Leslie is survived and missed dearly by his wife Barb, sister Nancy Peters, special helpers and niece and nephew Fred and Cindy Beach as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Allen and his brother-in-law LaMar Peters.
Visitation will take place Thursday September 22, 2022 from 5-7pm at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Those wishing an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a contribution to Munson Hospice in lieu of flowers.
