Leta Amon

Leta Amon, age 86, formally of Williamsburg, MI passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Leta earned her master's in healthcare management and worked as a Nurse and Lead Administrator for the medical care facility in Traverse City for most of her 40 years in the profession. She honorably served our country in the United States Air Force and was a long-time member of Traverse Bay United Methodist Church. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, reading, and the years she had working with Amon Orchards, the family-owned farm market.

Leta was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Amon; parents, Raymond & Ida (Knechtel) Milholin; and stepson, David Amon.

She is survived by her brother, Leo Milholin; nieces, Tina Milholin, Teri Morgan; nephew, Todd Milholin; stepchildren, Jannie "Jan" (John) Marnett, Dr. Robert (Meredith) Amon, Judy Amon; grandchildren, Malaika (Amon) Bregman, Brandon Marnett, Andrea (Marnett) Buyze, Michael Amon, Ben Amon, Eric Amon, Jazz Feyer-Salo; and several great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St. Traverse City. The family will welcome visitors a half hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend the interment of Leta's urn, which will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Acme Township Cemetery.
