Lillian Justine Simonelli

Lillian J. Simonelli of Traverse City, Michigan, age 94, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on March 27, 2023. She was born to Charles and Justine (Frodl) Kotasek on February 12, 1929 in Hopewell, Virginia.

A long-time member of Christ the King Parish, she enjoyed extensive international travel while living overseas, gardening, crafting with her shells from the beach, reading, and spending time with family and friends across the country.

Lillian is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Chester Simonelli; Children Terri (David) Ramsey, Timothy Simonelli, David (Tami) Simonelli, and Sandra (Jeffrey) Wagner and Grandchildren; Scott (Taunee) Simonelli, Chloe Simonelli, and Nichole Wagner.

She was preceded in death by parents Charles and Justine Kotasek, and sisters, Virginia Ohlendorf and Justine Putney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Christopher Jarvis at 11:00 a.m. on June 3, 2023, at Christ the King Church in Acme, Michigan.
