Obituary

Together with our Dad, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our sister, Linda Jean (Skinner) Carter has joined the angels. Lin passed peacefully with grace and acceptance on Sunday afternoon in the loving care of her brother Ross.

She enjoyed tacos on Thanksgiving (her favorite), laughed and shared childhood thoughts with Ross, and talked to us all on the phone up until Saturday night. Lin was a unique and beautiful soul. She embodied selflessness, kindness, love, acceptance, and joy. She was an extraordinary artist, avid animal lover, talented seamstress, and could even style hair. Lin loved family above all else. Lin took the time to talk to, truly listen to, and offer support to anyone, anytime. This was where her role as Aunt became so beautiful.

She loved her 9 nieces and nephews "to the moon and back". April, Andrew, Jake, Jessica, Chris, Jordan, Cody, Sarah and Kelly will all miss her incredible guidance. Although Lin faced her own adversities, she always found a way to add light to all hearts. Lin made each of her siblings feel as though we were the special one, we were the most important. She was an amazing big sister to Ross, Jeff, Tom and Pam! She dearly loved her brother-in-law John, and her sisters-in-law Pam and Bev.

We will be eternally grateful for the care she gave to our mom (Anita) during her extended illness, as well as the company she offered to Dad (Ross). When you think of Lin, we would love you to picture her with that beautiful smile on her face. Hug somebody and tell them you love them. Life is short, make the most of every day.

We plan to have a celebration of her life in the near future.
