Linda Lou Geuss

TRAVERSE CITY - Linda Lou Doyle Geuss, age 73, died peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 after a long struggle with cancer.

Born December 27, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio, she lived in OH, TX, WV, and IA, before settling in Traverse City, Michigan in 1992. She started her career as an X-Ray technician at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Youngstown, Oh and retired from her long career at Sutton's Bay Medical Center in Sutton's Bay, MI in 2009. Linda was an active member of St. Francis Parish and enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Frank Geuss, her children Eric Geuss (Kathy), Cheryl Ruszkowski (Steve), Darren Geuss (Ellie), and a sister Diane Repasky (Andy). Linda is survived by 6 grandchildren Zach Dettlinger, Gretchen Dettlinger, Emma Ruszkowski, Sam Ruszkowski, Molly Geuss, Grady Geuss as well as loving nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marie Doyle and her brother, Rusty Doyle.

Viewing services will be held 5:30-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth Street, Traverse City, Michigan. Her Funeral will take place at St. Francis Parish in Traverse City on Friday, June 12 at 1:00 pm. A Funeral luncheon will be held at St Francis following the ceremony.
