Linda Lea Laubach, 73, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Munson Hospice House. Linda was born on November 30, 1941 in Traverse City to the late Tony and Isabell (Neiman) Breithaupt. She was married to Ken Laubach on August 8, 1962 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2007. Linda had worked part-time as a classified sales representative for the Record Eagle, retiring after over 20 years of service. She was an election worker for Traverse City for many years. She enjoyed her daily walks. Linda has left a long legacy, but she will be warmly remembered as a loving wife, mother, doting grandmother and friend.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Janet (Scott) Means of Pensacola Beach, FL, two sons; Greg (Nancy) Laubach of Traverse City and Tony (Jaylene) Laubach of Brighton, MI, six grandchildren; Luke, Marla, Logan, Spencer, Matthew and Christopher. Also surviving are three brothers; John (Jean) Breithaupt of Traverse City, Bill (Gail) Breithaupt of St. Louis, MO and Tony (Lilly) Breithaupt, of Wyoming, a sister-in-law, Eleanor Carboneau of Traverse City, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are welcome to visit with Linda's family on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 305 Sixth St., Traverse City 49684, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A memorial mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at St. Francis Catholic Church, 1025 S. Union, Traverse City, MI 49684., with visiting one hour prior. Rev. Fr. Kenneth R. Stachnik will officiate.
