Linda Kay Snell

Traverse City - Linda Kay Snell, 47, of Traverse City passed away peacefully October 10, 2012 at Munson Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends.

Linda was born on May 27, 1965 in Deckerville to Melvin and Carolyn (Campbell) Lamont.

On September 29, 1990 Linda married Chad Allen Snell in Deckerville.

Above all else, Linda loved spending time with her kids and her family. She loved to party, and always had fun at family birthdays, holiday celebrations and events. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and riding roller coasters at theme parks. Linda was also an avid Lions and Tigers fan.

Linda is survived by her husband Chad, 10 year old daughter Shelby, 7 year old son Chase, father Melvin Lamont, sister Cheryl (Charles) Becker, brother Jeffrey (Laurie) Lamont, brother Michael Lamont, and nieces and nephews Aaron Lamont, Chrissy Svejnar, Kyle Becker, Kayla Loomis, Tommy Gray, Rob Gray, Nicole Gray, Chum Snell, Heidi Snell, Josh Snell, Deanna Snell, Susan Snell, Melissa Snell, Will Snell, sister-in-law Cindy (Tom) Gray, brother-in-law Bob (Sandy) Snell, and brother-in-law Bill (Brenda) Snell and several other family members and friends including her beloved German Shephard Savannah and cat Shelia.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother Carolyn.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm with a service of remembrance to begin at 2:00 pm. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions in memory of Linda may be directed to a scholarship fund for her children Shelby and Chase through Northwestern Bank, 625 S. Garfield, P.O. Box 809, Traverse City, MI 49685.
