Traverse City-Lindy Lindgren age 76,of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at her residence. She was born December 1, 1936 in Ferndale, MI. to the late Leon and Mary Janette (Soper) Watson.
Lindy moved to Traverse City in 1991 from Norwalk, CA. where she taught tax classes at Cerritos College and owned and operated a tax preparation business. Lindy previously lived on Riviera Beach, Florida and served on the School Board Advisory Committee and ran for city council.
Prior to living in Florida she spent three years in Gaylord.

Since her retirement at age 62,Lindy enjoyed volunteer work at the Cherryland Humane Society, Salvation Army and United Way as well as travel, reading and painting. She was also a longtime member of AA and Al Anon.

Lindy is survived by her brother, Buddy Watson of Pearl City, HI. sisters, Sandra Gartelman and Winifred Bowden Neph, both of Gaylord, dear friends Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob and many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the Cherryland Humane Society.
