TRAVERSE CITY — Lisa Allen, 56, of Traverse City, passed away March 15, 2011, at Munson Medical Center. Lisa was born on July 3, 1954, in Walnut Lake, to the late Walter and Dorothy (Kinsey) Christie. She was raised in Northport and later moved to Traverse City. On Dec. 29, 1973, Lisa married John Allen. Together they shared 37 wonderful years. Lisa was a selfless person. She put all others before herself. She made everyone around her a better person. Her positivity and smile were contagious. She was such a loving and giving person and will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew her. She was a lover of all animals, especially cats, and worked for several years at Oakwood Veterinary Hospital. She was also a fan of fantasy, legends and Celtic designs. Lisa is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Jarra; and sister, Denise M. Jago. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Amy. A memorial service honoring Lisa's life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011, at 11 a.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
