Lloyd A. Birdsey

Lloyd Anthony Birdsey, 92 of Williamsburg, died September 8, 2017 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. Born February 5, 1925 in Park Falls, WI. He was the son of Byron and Ella (Vetter) Birdsey. On May 16, 1952 in Traverse City, he married Vivian J. Sanford. Mr.Birdsey was a graduate of Traverse City Senior High School. He served his country in the United States Navy, worked 19 years for Parsons Corporation and retired from Chef Pierre after 19 years of employment. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and later joined Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme. Lloyd will always be remembered for his love of family and his kind and generous spirit. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Vivian of 65 years. Also surviving are four daughters; Cynthia (Joe) Wagner, Mary Sue (Jim) Schopieray, Kathleen (Tim) Harrigan and Angela (Tommy) Allen, four sons; Anthony Birdsey, Daniel (Margaret) Birdsey, Timothy Birdsey (Deb Westfall) and Joseph Birdsey. Lloyd was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Vivian Birdsey, along with her family, would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center for their kindness and attention to Lloyd in his final days.
