TRAVERSE CITY — Lloyd A. Timm, 75, of Traverse City, died peacefully Friday morning, Oct. 22, 2010, at Grand Traverse Pavilions.Born May 21, 1935, in BonHomme County, S.D., he was the son of the late Andrew and GoldieTimm. He is survived by his wife, Norma Timm of Traverse City; his son, Steven Timm; and his daughter-in-law, Katherine Williams; as well as three sisters, Dorothy (Gordon) Hansen, Shirley (Bill) Klemens and Betty (Gary) Anderson; and one brother, Kenneth (Doris) Timm.Lloyd spent much of his career in the structural steel industry, retiring from Jacklin Steel in Traverse City. He was a master storyteller and a friend to children of all ages. Funeral services will be held at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2055 North Four Mile Road, Traverse City, on Monday, Oct. 25, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Paul Kulakov will officiate.Graveside services will be held at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Spruce on Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 1 p.m.In remembrance of Lloyd, memorial contributions may be directed to the Church Building Fund.
