On Wednesday February 1, 2023 Lois Bush of Traverse City passed away at age 95. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Allen W. Bush. She was born December 3, 1927 to Garry and Adeline (Stewart) Pasman in Kalamazoo MI, She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1945 and then attended Western Michigan Teachers College where she met the love of her life. Lois and Al were married December 20, 1947. Raising two sons, they lived in Battle Creek, Dearborn, Bay City, and Lansing. After attaining a degree from Michigan State University in elementary education, Lois was an elementary school teacher in Lansing. Favorite activities were watching her sons play sports, playing bridge, and travel.

In retirement Lois and Al moved to Cub Lake, Kalkaska County, and later to Traverse City. There she enjoyed hiking and cross-country skiing and visits by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They also enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Hawaii and the South Pacific and taking cruises, especially cruises through the Panama Canal. They also enjoyed wintering in Miami FL, Tucson AZ, and Las Cruces NM.

Lois is survived by her sons Allen (Cindy) of Traverse City and Garry (Becky) of Gaithersburg MD. She is also survived by her grandsons Tom (Amy), Charlie (Aimee), Jake (Jessica), and Brian, and seven great-grandchildren Katie (Andrew), Nate (Samantha), Allison, Micheal, Amanda, Julianna, and Jordynn.

Internment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Glen Eagle Advisacare and Advisacare Hospice staffs for the care and comfort they provided at the end of her life.
