LOIS E. PAHL-COCHRANE, 82, of Traverse City, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Munson Medical Center with family at her side.
Lois was born on March 5, 1932 in Mesick, MI to the late Roy and Clara (Teall) Wheeler. She married the late Richard Pahl who preceded her in death on July 28, 1999. Lois married Ray Cochrane on December 13, 2003.
Lois was born and raised in Mesick. She attended Mesick High School graduating in the class of 1950. She went on for additional schooling in accounting at Baker College. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Quota Club, the Accounting Club, the Elks Lodge #323, and the Auxiliary VFW. In her spare time, she enjoyed theater and watching sports, especially if her grandchildren were involved. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, relatives and friends.
Surviving Lois is her husband Ray, children, Patrick (Susan) Pahl of Traverse City, Michael (Katie) Pahl of Traverse City, Richard Jr. Pahl of Virginia, Mary Sue (Grant) Marty of Midland, step children, David (Penny) Fisher of Twin Lakes, Sally White of Canton, Amy (Dennis) Cox of Bellville, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Richard, and siblings, Betty Crawford, Barbara Soukup, and Donna Wheeler.
Funeral services will be held for Lois Today, Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at the Traverse Bay United Methodist Church, at 11 a.m., with a visitation held from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Lloyd Jewett will serve as officient. Burial will take place at the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to the donor's charity of choice.
