Lois S. Sleder

Lois S. Sleder, 80 of Traverse City, passed away Friday August 17, 2018 at Munson Medical Center.

Lois was born November 14, 1937 in Traverse City to the late Louis Joseph and Margaret Mary (Allgaier) Sleder. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School in the class of 1955. She went on to attend college at North Western Michigan College from 1955-1956. Lois worked in her younger years for the office at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and for the NMC library for over 25 years as the assistant Librarian.

Lois was very proud of her Catholic Faith and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the piano, playing cards and going to bingo with her mom.

Surviving Lois is her sister Charlotte (Glen) Belanger; four nephews, Nicholas Richards, Patrick Richards, John (Diana) Richards, Thomas Richards; many great nieces and nephew's; an aunt Mary Allgaier and several other family members and friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with a visitation beginning at 10am. Burial will take place following the luncheon at Oakwood Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Church.
