Lola Mae Benson

TRAVERSE CITY - Lola Mae Benson, 56, of Traverse City, passed away on October 2, 2015. Lola was born on November 29, 1958 in St. Johns, MI., to the late Arthur and Ann L. (Benson) Mansfield.

She attended Genesee High School and later married David Mcdonnell in Flint, on Feb. 27, 1989. Lola assisted David with the administrative and accounting operation of their plumbing business and was essential in keeping it running. She loved music, dancing, rock collecting and genealogy.

She is survived by her husband David; sisters, Cindy Mansfield, Lora Mansfield; brothers, Doug and George Mansfield.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a visitation held one hour prior. Burial will take place at The Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI., at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Lola's name may be directed to the American Breast Cancer Society.
