Loraine Lois Gearhart Stephenson, 88, of Grayling and formerly St. Ignace, passed away peacefully at Grand Traverse Pavilions in Traverse City, on April 17, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "Buzz" Stephenson, both of her parents and her two sisters.
Loraine is survived by her brother Kenneth (Betty) Gearhart, her children; Roxanne Turner, Rodney Smith, Ronda (Pat) McCarrick, Leanne (Dave) DeWater, Michael (Melissa) Michalski and Stacy DeWater, 19 beloved grandchildren, 28 beautiful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Loraine enjoyed traveling with her husband Buzz, writing poetry, crafting, gardening, watching and feeding the wildlife, Summer Gatherings and spending time with her family. Loraine especially enjoyed Christmas, as exemplified by the year-round décor in her home on the river.
