Loretta "Tootie" Ann Carver, 81, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024, at Culver Meadows Senior Living, surrounded by her loving family.

Tootie was born on March 18, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to the late Loren and Madeline (Zeiler) Otrambo. In 1958, she moved to California with her parents and two younger brothers. On December 17, 1960, she married William Douglas "Doug" Carver Sr., who was on leave from the Army. They settled in California raising 3 children, Michelle "Mikie"

(Pat) Parker, William "Dougie" Jr. (Julie) and Keith. During these years, there were lots of camping trips and gatherings all over the country with other family members. Tootie also was involved with the kids' activities. She also enjoyed and was involved with her own teams of bowling, softball, rollerblading, and even played 2 seasons of women's hockey!

In 1975, they moved the family "back" to Michigan. Her and Doug set up a 10 acre "gentleman's" farm. She did enjoy the helping out with the chickens, barn cats, steers and pigs!!!

Dad turned her into a farm girl! When all the kids were old enough, she went back to school to work on and receive her RN nursing degree. She worked at Northern Michigan Hospital her entire career in various departments.

When Doug's job took them from Petoskey, they moved to Charlevoix until retirement. Upon retirement, they built a home in Traverse City. She enjoyed visits from her grandkids, knitting, reading, word puzzles, being outside tending to her gardens of flowers and fish in her pond. In Traverse City, she attended Christ the King Catholic Church.
