Loretta Dowe Mauseth's Obituary
Traverse City - Loretta Dowe Mauseth, 94, of Traverse City passed away peacefully on November 27, 2023 with her daughters by her side.
Loretta was born on September 27, 1929 in Muskegon Heights to the late Floyd August and Geraldine (Lee) Coddens.
Loretta earned her bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University. She loved her career as a teacher and after over 30 years retired from Frankfort Public Schools. In her free time, she enjoyed membership in the PEO in Frankfort, the Garden Club and volunteering on the auxiliary hospital board. She also liked to play golf, cards and spend time in the sunshine.
Loretta was preceded in death by her daughter Jane O'Brien; brother Frank Coddens and sister Mary Komar.
Loretta is survived by her daughters Joan Alt and Dawn (Lisa Wehr) Benson; brother Lawrence Coddens and sister Monica (Jim) Ricco.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in her honor may be directed to the St. Jude's.
