TRAVERSE CITY - Lorraine N. Racine, 90, died September 28, 2014 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.

Lorraine was born on May 19, 1924 to the late M. Louise (Vanasse) and Albert W. Nolet in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lorraine married J. Paul Racine, a World War II veteran, on June 5, 1948 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Worcester, Mass. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her sister, Sister Maxine Nolet, of the Sisters of St. Anne in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

She was a loving wife and mother, and was dearly loved by family and friends for her kindness, warm personality, and radiant smile.

Lorraine is survived by her sons, John (Linda) of Traverse City, David (Barbara) of Auburn Hills, Stephen of Indian Harbour Beach, FL and Peter (Chieko) of Traverse City. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Roger, Jean, Christine, David, Annie, Michael and Jessica, and her 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation for Lorraine will take place from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. on Friday October 3 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Traverse City, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis, where she was a Parishioner. The Reverend Fr. Ken Stachnik will preside.
